Providing much-needed medical resources

Friends4Fiji has donated in excess of FJD$10,000 worth of biology, medical and surgical textbooks, anatomical models, posters, stethoscopes and neurological examination equipment to the medical students of Umanand Prasad School of Medicine (UPSM) since 2009, in support of their continued clinical learning.

volunteer medical camps

Sharing learning experiences in challenging settings

Since 2010, Friends4Fiji members have participated in conferences and week-long voluntary medical camps, travelling and camping with UPSM colleagues to assist volunteer overseas doctors in the running of a successful camp-clinic that accesses some of the remote and poor villages in Fiji.

 

Study tours to Melbourne

Fully sponsored trip studying as a monash medicine student

We extend our hospitality to our friends and colleagues from Fiji to travel to Melbourne for clinical placements, where they work alongside their Monash counterparts in a medical specialty of their choice in some of the world's finest hospitals.

Raising donations and awareness in engaging ways

Functions are regularly organised at Monash Univeristy to increase awareness about global health issues facing the Pacific, especially Fiji, in a fun and engaging manner, while raising funds to enable us to continue our exciting plans. Our annual Education Night is always a hugely popular event.
